Construction underway from August 2021 to Summer 2025 converts the parclo interchange (Exit 260) connecting SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) with Interstate 75 into a DDI. 02/12/15
I-75 travels south from SR 574 near Mango to Riverview, Gibsonton and Ruskin through south Hillsborough County. Naples is the main control point from Tampa southward from when the route ended at Alligator Alley. 09/20/17

Hewitt Street connects SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard) with Broadway west back toward Tampa. Hewitt Street and Broadway double as unsigned County Road 574, a 9.25 mile long route to Ybor City and SR 45 (Nebraska Avenue). 03/02/14
Broadway used to default onto SR 574 just east of Hewitt Street. A portion of the road was removed when CR 574 was realigned onto Hewitt Street to intersect Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard at a right angle. 03/02/14
County Road 579 runs north SR 574 and Lemon Avenue along Mango Road to Interstate 4 at Exit 10 and U.S. 301 at Thonotosassa. Lemon Avenue spurs south to an apartment complex and small subdivision. 04/15/15

N Dover Road and Moores Lake Road come together at SR 574 in Dover. Dover Road runs south along a section line toward Sydney and Durant Road along the east side of Brandon. 03/02/14

Sydney Drover Road extends Pettie Road south from SR 574 through mostly agricultural areas to Sydney Washer Road at Sydney. 03/02/14
An I-4 trailblazer precedes the signalized intersection with Forbes Road along SR 574 east. Forbes Road provides the last direct route to the freeway from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard via the diamond interchange (Exit 17) at Branch Forbes Road. 03/02/14
Forbes Road heads south 2.5 miles to Trapnell Road and north 1.25 miles to U.S. 92 (Hillsborough Avenue), where it changes names to Branch Forbes Road. 03/02/14
State Road 574 remains parallel to the CSX Railroad to Turkey Creek Road (CR 574B). 03/02/14
Crossing the Plant City line along SR 574 east, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard ends with SR 574 continuing as an unnamed route.
Home to over 40,000, Plant City was incorporated in 1885. Originally named Ichepucksassa after a former Indian village located here, Plant City was later renamed Cork after the Irish postmaster's home city. When the South Florida Railroad was extended to the town in 1884, the eventual city was renamed after the railroad developer Henry Bradley Plant.1 03/02/14
Turkey Creek Road encircles the west side of Plant City between U.S. 92 (W Baker Street) and Trapnell Road at Beatty's Corner. The 1.02 mile section north from SR 574 to U.S. 92 is unsigned CR 574B. 03/02/14
SR 574 diverges from the adjacent CSX Railroad toward W Reynolds Street and the Florida Strawberry Festival Grounds. Plant City is the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World. 03/02/14
