$61 million reconstruction of Interstate 4 between Osceola Parkway and U.S. 192 took place between January 2005 and September 2007. Ramps for Exits 65 and 64 were reconfigured to eliminate weaving traffic. This included the addition of a distributor roadway to U.S. 192.

Founded in 1994, Celebration is a master-planned community constructed by the Disney Corporation. The Enclaves at Festival development got underway in 2020 along the north side of I-4 from CR 54 southwest toward the succeeding exit with U.S. 27. U.S. 27 is a heavily traveled arterial linking Haines City with Clermont and the sprawling Four Corners area, where Lake, Orange, Osceola and Polk Counties come together.
