Advancing toward Tallahassee, U.S. 90 crosses paths with Interstate 10 for the first time since Exit 275 near Ellaville, in seven miles.

A six-ramp parclo interchange connects with U.S. 90 (Mahan Drive) from Interstate 10 west. Exit 209A for U.S. 90 west directs motorists to both Florida State University and Florida A & M University.

The next four exits all serve the city of Tallahassee. Interstate 10 enters the city limits briefly at Exit 209 and again at Miccosukee Road.

Exit 209A loops onto U.S. 90 (Mahan Drive) west into east Tallahassee. Mahan Drive expands into a busy arterial from I-10 to U.S. 319 (Capital Circle NE).

Exit 203 joins I-10 west with both U.S. 319 (Capital Circle NE) and SR 61 (Thomasville Road). This interchange was upgraded to add a direct ramp to U.S. 319 as part of the Moving I-10 Forward project. Work began in October 2006 and was completed in 2009.

Exit 199 (U.S. 27) departs one mile beyond the Sharer Road overpass. U.S. 27 (Monroe Street) runs south to Downtown Tallahassee and the State Capitol complex, east of Florida State University. Sign changes to Exit 199 in 2008 switched Havana with Monroe Street.

As part of the Moving I-10 Forward road work, Exit 199 was expanded outward to improve ramp geometry to and from U.S. 27. U.S. 27 (Monroe Street) leads northwest from Tallahassee to Lake Jackson, Havana and Bainbridge, Georgia.

SR 263 leads south to Tallahassee International Airport (TLH), U.S. 319 (Capital Circle SW) at Lakeside and SR 363 (Woodville Highway). SR 263 at Exit 196 was expanded to eight lanes during the Moving I-10 Forward project.

Construction from 2021 onward widens the final two lane sections of SR 263 (Capital Circle NW) to the south. Previously only the arterial section between I-10 and U.S. 90 was six lanes wide.
