Construction underway from August 2022 to Summer 2025 redesigned and expanded the I-86/I-15 System Interchange originally built in the 1960s (Ramsey, 2025). New roadways were built for I-15 that eliminated left exit ramps. Additionally a c/d roadway was added along I-15 northbound.

A diamond interchange (Exit 73) with Northgate Parkway was constructed in anticipation of the Northgate master-planned community (Vitu, 2018). Costing $13.1 million to build, the exchange opened to traffic following a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on December 6, 2019 (O'Connell, 2019).
