Interstate 84

Interstate 84 extends 54.87 miles east from I-81 in Dunmore, near the city of Scranton, across northeastern Pennsylvania to Matamoras by the northern tip of New Jersey. The westernmost 3.80 miles of I-84 crossing the Moosic Mountains coincides with I-380, a spur linking I-80 with Mount Pocono, Moscow and the Scranton area.

Leading northeast east from I-380 and Elmhurst to Mount Cobb, I-84 is a rural freeway. The route shifts southward into Wayne County and Sterling township, where it turns east to pass Lake Wallenpaupack.
Advancing toward the Delaware River, I-84 passes north of the borough of Milford before paralleling the waterway in Westfall township. I-84 curves southeast across the Delaware River at the borough of Matamoras, straddling the New Jersey border into the town of Greenville, New York.
PA 247 (Moosic Lake Road) south concludes at Interstate 84 in the unincorporated community of Mount Cobb.
