Part of the Wichita North Junction Gold Project Sub-Phase (Phase 2A), construction from April 2021 to December 2023 builds a two lane flyover from I-135/K-96 north to I-235 and replaces the ramp from I-135 south to I-235.

The Wichita North Junction Green Project through November 2021 rebuilt the southbound roadway for I-235/K-96 and reconfigured the folded diamond interchange (Exit 15) at Broadway Avenue with longer ramps.

The Green Project phase of the Wichita North Junction Project replaced bridges across the LIttle Arkansas River, Arkansas Avenue and Broadway Avenue. Costing $65 million, work ran from March 2019 to November 2021.
