Interstate 270

Interstate 270 constitutes a full beltway encircling the Ohio capital city of Columbus. 54.97 miles in length, the commuter route is designated the Jack Nicklaus Freeway, named after the famous golfer and Columbus native. I-270 passes through portions of Grove City, Obetz and Grove City south of I-70 and through Hilliard, Dublin, Worthington, Westerville and Gahanna along the northern arc.

The initial section of Interstate 270 on the 1962 Ohio Official Highway Map linked I-71 with U.S. 23 on the south side of Columbus.

The 1971 Ohio Official Highway Map shows Interstate 270 completed except between I-70 and SR 161 along the east side of Columbus.
