Highway 115

NC 115 originates in Charlotte and parallels I-77 north to Mooresville and Statesville. The two routes diverge north from I-40, with NC continuing to North Wilkesboro. The 71 mile long route begins at U.S. 21 and ends at U.S. 421 Business, NC 18 and NC 268.

Traveling north along NC 115 (Old Statesville Road) at Interstate 485. I-485 opened westward from NC 115 to NC 16 (Brookshire Boulevard) on December 5, 2008.

The entrance ramp from NC 115 to the outer loop of I-485 joins a collector distributor roadway leading into the cloverstack interchange with adjacent Interstate 77.

NC 3/152 (Iredell Avenue) conclude northward 0.80 miles at NC 150 (E Plaza Drive) and part ways one block to the east at N Main Street.

NC 115 reassurance shield posted south after Hambright Road along Old Statesville Road. Hambright Road connects the state route with U.S. 21 and Mt Holly-Huntersville Road to the west.

NC 115 (Old Statesville Road) south at Alexandriana Road west and Eastfield Road. Alexandriana Road used to arc southeast to Eastfield and Arthur Davis Roads. Construction of I-485 severed the route, with a four lane realignment of Eastfield Road taking its place.

Widening of NC 115 to four lanes coincided with the completion of Interstate 485 west from Old Statesville Road to NC 16 (Brookshire Boulevard) on December 8, 2008.
