State Route 266

New York Route 266

New York State Route 266 parallels the Niagara River from the Lower West Side neighborhood in Buffalo north to the city of Tonawanda in Erie County. The 11.15 mile long route begins along Niagara Street north at Virginia Street and the directional ramps (NY 951L) with Interstate 190 at Exit 8. Following Niagara Street, NY 266 parallels I-190 north to Buffalo's Upper West Side and the Riverside neighborhood in northwest Buffalo.

Continuing north into the Town of Tonawanda, NY 266 (River Road) diverges from Interstate 190 beyond NY 325 (Sheridan Drive). River Road serves an array of industrial businesses north to the Fly Ash Landfill. The state route meets I-190 again adjacent to NY 324 (Grand Island Boulevard) and the South Grand Island Bridge spanning the Niagara River. Within the city of Tonawanda, NY 266 lines Niagara Street along the Niagara River east to NY 265 (Seymour Street) at Downtown.
