South Carolina Highway 291

S.C. 291 constitutes an 11.40 mile long arterial belt route encircling the city of Greenville. S.C. 291 extends Augusta Road 1.70 miles northeast from U.S. 25 (White Horse Road) to Pleasantburg Drive. Augusta Road north becomes Augusta Street while Pleasantburg Drive leads S.C. 291 eastward toward Greenville Technical College and the Nicholtown neighborhood in Greenville. Augusta Road/Street was formerly part of U.S. 25 Business.

S.C. 291 (Pleasantburg Drive) passes west of Greenville Downtown Airport (GMU) between the commercialized intersection with U.S. 276 (Laurens Road) and a six-ramp parclo interchange with Interstate 385 north of Arcadia Hills. Pleasantburg Drive turns west at Bob Jones University, where S.C. 291 crosses U.S. 29 (Wade Hampton Boulevard). The arterial continues along the Greenville city line to S.C. 253 (State Park Road) by Cherrydale Point Shopping Center.
