U.S. 20 East - Albany / Rensselaer


Following Western Avenue through the town of Guilderland, U.S. 20 meets the south end of Adirondack Northway (Route 910F) beyond the I-87 (New York Thruway) underpass.

A loop ramp joins U.S. 20 east with the Adirondack Northway (Route 910F) north to the exchange with I-87/90 adjacent to the New York Thruway at Exit 24.

CR 204 (Schoolhouse Road) loops south from U.S. 20 (Western Avenue) at McKownville to North Bethlehem.

CR 156 (Fuller Road) follows from U.S. 20 (Western Avenue) north to NY 5 (Center Avenue) at Roessleville and Colonie.

U.S. 20 follows Madison Avenue east through Downtown Albany to Pearl Street and its on-ramp to the South Mall Arterial (Route 913V) and Dunn Memorial Bridge. U.S. 20 proceeds through the Circle Stack Interchange with I-787 and U.S. 9.

Barriers shunt traffic into two lanes for the loop ramp to Broadway (NY 151) and the continuation of U.S. 9 south / U.S. 20 east along Columbia Street.

U.S. 9/20 overlap another 7.8 miles south from the Dunn Memorial Bridge at Rensselaer to East Greenbush. Broadway provides a connection to NY 151 east along 3rd Avenue.
