U.S. 20

U.S. 20 travels through the far northern counties of Illinois, between East Dubuque and Rockford before angling southward along the Northwest Tollway to Elgin and Chicagoland. The 191 mile route in Illinois stays west of Chicago before turning east from U.S. 45 alongside U.S. 12 along 95th Street between Hickory Hills and U.S. 41 in south Chicago. The route exits the state with U.S. 12 & 41 into Hammond, Indiana.
