The first sighting of Clearview font used on highway signs was reported to us recently along Interstate 95 in Delaware. New signs are being installed along the southbound (westbound) stretch of the freeway in conjunction with the “5th Lane Project”. Widening of the freeway is underway between Exit 4 (Delaware 1 & 7) and Exit 5 (U.S. 202 south & Delaware 141).

I see DelDOT FINALLY put Dover as a control city at Exit 4A. Only took them 20 years or so.
Finally…
Too bad ‘Mall Road’ is still recognized, as Delaware 1 & 7 are never a part of Mall Road. That should be mentioned on an auxiliary guide sign, perhaps as simply “Christiana Mall”.
And DE 273 east is still signed to Dover.
And all of this has already been done over — 2014
I can’t figure out the 273 EAST for Dover either. Something is illogical about that one!
