Counties?

I think I've clinched only one county (unless independent cities count), that being Charles City County, VA. There are several that I'm close to clinching: Prince George County, VA (need the segment of VA 35 south of SR 637); Dinwiddie County, VA (VA 357 and part of VA 319); Chesterfield County, VA (VA 324 and VA 339, both only partially clinchable due to their private segments); Henrico County, VA (US 301/VA 2); Sussex County, VA (VA 35) and Currituck County, NC (NC 3 136).

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

Don't @ me. Seriously.

FWIW...  If anyone else on here is building their counties map to include rail travel, I've found Bing Maps to be a good one to use:  it shows both railroads and county lines, without too many breaks in the county lines.

I'm very close to clinching Essex (MA), Rockingham (NH), and York (ME), and I have clinched pretty much all the independent cities in Southeastern Virginia, plus Gloucester, Mathews, Isle of Wight, York, James City, and possibly Charles City and Surry counties.

I've also found the stops on current Amtrak schedules to be helpful, in nailing down which rails you probably traveled.  Amtrak routes, and rail lines, seem to change slowly if at all.

Come to think of it I suppose I can say I also have a fifth county completely "clinched": Dukes County, MA. I have been there and I have driven all 0 miles of numbered highway there!
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

I'm pretty sure I've done every state, US, interstate, and county highway in San Diego County.  there's probably a few old alignments I'm missing, like bypassed bridges, or city routings that I don't know about.

I don't believe I can claim this for any other county.  I wish I could for Los Angeles county but I haven't gotten nearly all of the old alignments.

Not even Union County, NM??

Hmmm, I've clinched: Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, Hendry, Glades, Okeechobee, Highlands, and Alachua in Florida; I'm missing just a few county road segments in about five or six others.

I don't think I've "clinched" any counties.  Even in my home of Franklin County, I'm probably missing little chunks of state routes 256, 605, and/or 674.  I might even be missing short bits of US routes 33, 40, and/or 62 on the east side.  I don't keep track of things, so I really can't be certain.
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been.

I've clinched counties in CHM (including all state primary routes) in both Michigan and North Carolina.
Michigan: Alcona, Alpena, Emmett, Iosco
North Carolina: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Granville, Guilford, Lee, Orange, Person, Randolph, Rockingham, Stokes, Vance, Wake, Yadkin

I haven't bothered to account for counties in states where the state primary routes aren't in CHM yet.

not even close.  a lot of dirt two-tracks are maintained, numbered, and signed by the county.  Union County, NM is a very tough clinch without a 4x4.

I updated my map days ago, yet my updates aren't reflected on my nationwide maps.  Each state I've edited shows the correct visited/unvisited counties, but the nationwide map doesn't match them.

It usually takes a day or twelve for your national map to update.  It's stored on the server, rather than generated upon request, probably because people like to hotlink the national maps on forums like this one.

It is also possible that your map is stored in your browser cache. Try doing a hard refresh (on Firefox this is accomplished with Ctrl+Shift+F).

I've noticed there is 5-10 minute delay between your additions and the map image.

Using Chrome these days.

In that case it is Shift+F5.

This is a handy reference page for anyone else who has an insatiable need to bypass their cache:
