So if you want to take 115 from this intersection, you have a choice between the correct shield, and the "beaten with the ugly stick" assembly.

Are we going to have the same problem with 124 as 112...?  :hmmm:

If no one posts a 126 by tonight, there's a highway 126 on my way to where I'm going tonight.  I'll just take a picture of that lol.

As the numbers get higher, there will be more and more numbers that will stupefy us.  Imagine when we get to the 200s, 300s, etc. ... That's why it's a CHALLENGE!

I have a 126, but it's not my turn to post.  I have a couple 4xx, 5xx, 6xx, and an 8xx. Not sure about 7xx if we get that far.

What if I'm stuck in rotation, no one has the next number but I do?  Of course, HBElkins probably could out-post most of us if it came to that.

I'm in a similar situation, where my posting 125 means I can't post another of my photos I had in mind for one of the next nine numbers (but not 126).

If we get stuck on that number, and someone else doesn't post my photo as happened with 99, I could post a hint someone else could use to find and post my photo.

I found some decent 126 signs with a simple Internet search.

All over the place. I have next week off from school, and I'm touring various colleges. I'm going into a total of 7 states (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut), so I may find a lot of numbers for the challenge.

I propose an exemption to the GSV and 10+ rules based on time. If a certain amount of time passes and nobody posts a picture for the particular number, the 10+ rule is relaxed or waived. These exemptions would keep the game from dying.

Perhaps something like this:

6 hours passes: Anyone who has not posted the last five pictures can post.
12 hours passes: Anyone other than the person who posted the last picture can post.
24 hours passes: Anyone can post. Screenshots allowed from GSV if you host them in your own storage (e.g. Flickr).

From the very start, I was thinking of changing the 10+ rule to a 5+ rule once we reach 200.
If 24 hours passes without a new post, GSV screenshots will be allowed.

I'm always open to suggestions and I'll listen to proposed tweaks to the rules.

Thanks. I think that 24 hours may be too little of a wait. Maybe 48 hours.

I like the rules as they are personally, though an adjustment to 5+ at 200 works too. Some time between posts is fine. It allows members that may not yet logged on today a chance to chime in before the next number comes up.

And I would dig through the old highway number game to try and track something down before I resorted to GSV. No low hanging fruit for me...
