This T-shirt from a craft show in San Francisco depicts the Ferry Building and Embarcadero with a certain bit of urban landscape that was demolished in 1991.

Slightly off-topic–but having lived only in a post-Embarcadero Freeway San Francisco and having commuted through that ferry terminal countless times, it's hard for me to look at that drawing and even imagine that all being there.

No road-related gifts for me, though.

Ms1995hoo bought me a pass to one of those NASCAR driving experiences where you drive a stock car around Richmond International Raceway. We have a choice of May or August and will probably try to go in May.

That's pretty much the closest thing to road-related stuff I got this year.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

My sister-in-law got me a copy of the book "Caution: Funny Signs Ahead" by the folks who run the RoadTrip America site.

I actually have a photo of one of the signs pictured in the book, as it's located about 20 miles from where I live.

I have taken a number of pictures that could qualify for a book like this. Maybe I should publish my own, since none of our cats ever got to become cash cows like Lil Bub or Grumpy Cat.

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

Don't @ me. Seriously.

As of this Christmas I now own a dashcam.

Haven't played with it yet, though.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Laura

My cousin made me a wreath out of the ADC Harford County, MD atlas.
I gave Mike a "US Route 66" blown glass ornament, and he gave me a blown glass ornament of a VW bus.

Alex

My sister gave me a lot of 30 or so folding maps and I received a 1932 DE license plate from my Mom.

I got NO road-related gifts.

One year, I received a portable battery charger, but it didn't last long.

Also received a power tire inflator, but it was very slow and never got beyond about 20 psi
