Quote from: vdeane on March 03, 2025, 12:38:55 PMThe landlord could probably put a clause about it into the lease, too.

Visitors and delivery drivers aren't bound by the lease.
It doesn't catch everyone, but my old lease said the following (emphasis mine):

QuoteThe speed limit through the entire complex is 10 miles per hour or less.  Residents or their guests failure to follow this speed limit can cause a fine of $100.00 to be imposed on the Resident.

Rothman and roadman are, in a shocking turn of events, different people.
Ahh, crap. I misread the two names.

I guess fuel efficiency is insufficient incentive for fuel efficiency.

The US 30 shield on a yellow guide is very odd.

That's because it's not a guide, it's a warning.

Gantry sign assembly/installation yesterday morning on westbound I-696 at I-275 in Farmington Hills (the three signs on this gantry were new last year but are being replaced with ridiculously minor changes):

Not if the contractor made an error and had to fix it to be in compliance with plans.

No contractor error.  MDOT apparently decided later the left sign needed a black-on-yellow ONLY banner and the black-on-yellow up/right arrows on the rightmost two signs needed to be down arrows instead.  Couldn't just slap patches up there, I guess.  Yes, our tax dollars at work.  (Okay, the new sign has the I-96 shield correctly centered under the EAST cardinal.  Whoopee.)

Original plans and the signs removed Sunday:

Both roads in Livonia, MI are closed this year for a bridge project, but those closures get signed differently.

The white panel overhead assembly at M-5's northern end is unusual.

I give them a point for using the correct font.  It's negative contrast and they used Series E(M).  The signs upstream of this are the standard white-on-green and they used Clearview on those.

You watch, and in less than 2 years they'll switch them out again for new one arrow per lane signage!  And they will replace a perfectly good gantry to boot. :bigass:

You say that the East cardinal is centered above the I-96 shield, but the shield looks slightly left of center.
