Here is a dying Mall in San Francisco.

Formerly Westfield Mall.  I will not be saying anything more in here about it.

I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread, but the Enfield Square Mall, in Enfield, CT is in its last days, with the state having just approved $10m for the site's redevelopment and permits to begin demolition in July being lined up.

A recent walk-through of Enfield Square on YouTube:

I believe this will take the Hartford metro down to two malls...although one of them, Buckland Hills, isn't healthy.

As someone who goes into Buckland Hills every 1-2 years, it's staggering how much worse it is with every trip.

One Cherry Hill Office Tower at Cherry Hill Mall in Cherry Hill, NJ is coming down for a ball field.

Mall still open, but building is dead.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Here is the Westminster Mall in Westminster, California.

What's the biggest sign of a dying mall?

To me, a Burlington Coat Factory as an anchor is tantamount to a load of bracket fungus on a trunk.

Several of those vibrator chairs set up in an array in the main corridor.

Oddly enough the corpse of the Billerica Mall near me just had it's Burlington Coat Factory leave for a different location within the same town. This place has lost a Kmart, Market Basket (to new apartments), and has the vaporware of an Amazon Fresh where the Kmart once was.

Another sign of death is nothing but GNC and Bath & Body Works inside the mall for a national chain.

Spencer's stores have commonly been associated with indoor shopping malls. Now the chain is about to open its first standalone store not inside a mall. Of all the places they could choose where to build it, they're opening the new store here in Lawton.

That looks enormous and is probably 30 years too late to be remotely cool.

The Burlington Coat Factory in Patchogue took over the former Mid-Island Department Stores, and was successful for a long time. I'm not sure how they've been doing since they moved to Sunrise Highway though.

Puente Hills mall to be renovated and for a new era.

I just saw a video post on Social Media. Livingston Mall in Livingston,  NJ has only three stores open.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

At this point is King of Prussia Mall the only mall in Southeastern Pennsylvania that is not dead? It seems a lot of other malls are closed, soon to be closed, or under plans to be redeveloped.

KOP the last viable mall in SEPA? Wow.

Here in Wisconsin, the only malls that I know of that really have any life left in them are Fox River in the Appleton area (but nowhere near what it was three decades ago) and Bay Park Square in Ashwaubenon, the Green Bay area (lots of foot traffic when I was there a year ago, but only one 'anchor' department store, with the other three now serving heir second lives as a grocery store, furniture 'big box' and amusement arcade - very precarious).

Marketplace Mall around Rochester is closing by the end of the year.  It's a shame, because this was the mall I went to the most in my childhood, and the fountains and the like were iconic.  It's also unfortunate, because IMO it's much less of a trip to get to that Rochester's two other malls, both of which are on the outskirts and require a decent drive to get to.

Mom and I walked around to say goodbye and it was surreal being in an empty mall at noon on Black Friday.  That said, the WWF PSAs saying "epic fail" were hilarious given the circumstances.

It'sbeen a few months since I was there, but Southridge Mall in the Milwaukee area seemed in decent shape.

Southridge is probably at about the same 'life level' as FRM.

As long as it works it's fine. I was at Bay Park Square last year it was packed.

Mayfair is doing well too. Oakwood in Eau Claire is as well as Westowne in Madison.

Great Lakes Roads

As of January 1, the Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indy is closed up for good as they start to redevelop the property into a mixed-use development with shops, apartments, and offices.

Castleton Square, The Fashion Mall at Keystone, and Greenwood Park Mall are the only three malls within the Indy metro that are still doing well.

I beleive there are a few others still doing well. The Willow Grove Park mall is doing very well and I beleive the Springfield Mall is too. The Oxford Valley Mall is at least doing ok and you have the Cherry Hills mall on the NJ side that is doing well. I was surprised to hear how fast the Mongomery Mall has gone downhill. It is true that Exton Square and Plymouth Meeting are planned to be redeveloped. And it's a good bet the Neshaminy Mall doesn't have much time left either.
