Should be Florida SR-79... located just south of the West Bay Bridge. I didn't realize US-79 actually came to replace the (long since rejected) proposed extension of US-431 in Florida!  :bigass:

Dang and I thought it's routing was weird enough being diagonal and all... :pan:
I can drive 55 ONLY when it makes sense.

Quote from: TBKS1 on November 18, 2025, 11:30:22 AMHere's two of them from my drive yesterday.

I know this is just detour signage and it won't be up forever, but here's AR 67 (should be US 67) in Arkadelphia, AR. A new bypass is being worked on and US 67 will be realigned once it's finished.

Slightly off-topic but woah... I looked at GSV of Arkadelphia and was surprised to see how they're realigning US 67. They basically just cut straight through town. How was ArDOT able to pull that off?
That kind of stretches the meaning of "bypass". And what's that E/W road being constructed south of town that looks like it's creating a loop back up to route 8? It all seems slightly demented.

But at least they'll probably fix the US-67 signs.

Wow! Your avatar is the same as this sign, which has both the "3" and the "0" covered.

Realistically the city probably DID grab a US 360 sign, peel off the 3 and the 0, and toss this up there.

It's pretty obvious on this computer that there are rectangular patches before and after the "6".

Yeah, I can kinda see the outline of a 3 on the left.

US 6 is correct, but US 9 and 202 got demoted.

Hopefully they get it right when the roundabout is completed.

This isn't a sign switch up, but it's painted on the road at the eastern terminus of US 412 at I-65. This should be TN 99.

That's quite the detour from California in the 1960s...

We always hear about how the Big One will sink California into the ocean, but we never hear about it flinging their state routes across the country

I didn't get a picture, but for a while TN-66 was inadvertently painted as US-66 on the pavement along I-40. HOWEVER, you can see how they tried to fix it https://maps.app.goo.gl/NtWc6n9dbnt7nLfc9

US 9W in Kingston becomes NY 9W near US 209; which could fly under the radar, I suppose.

I've always wondered why 9W is a US route, given that 9A/B/D/G/H/J/L/N/P/R are all state routes.

US 9 was US 9E at one point south of Albany before it was changed to plain US 9.

I tried to catch my own pic of this, but it was pretty blurry. Sometime after 2023, according to GMaps, this US27 sign turned into FL27 in Pembroke Pines.

Also, this is right by the pic taken above........

That can't be coincidental, right?

I can tell "Heritage Estates" MHP right away (the only neighborhood west of US 27 in Broward). Don't remember it getting a name.
