Running taillights should be green, to distinguish them better from brake lights.

When a traffic light changes to signal that it's time to go, it will flash green five times, and a new audio feature will cause the traffic light to yell out, "Green green green green green!" in time with the flashes. This will assist both phone-obsessed drivers who aren't paying attention, color-blind drivers who may not be able to discern the color, and blind drivers who can't see anything.

This feature will be modified for traffic lights in Owensboro, Kentucky. Lights there will flash green three times and the audio will yell, "Boogity, boogity, boogity! Let's get moving, boys!"

To that effect, replace speed limit signs on interstates with green flags for racing conditions. Yellow flags would be used for work zones, with caution lights every half mile for restricted speed conditions. Green/White checkered flags at state lines and black/white checkered flags at termini. White flags before the last mile of each interstate.

Stop signs, yield signs, and stoplights should be changed to green.  Because green is a calming color, this will reduce stress levels amongst drivers, which will lead to a lower incidence of road rage and of risky behavior in general.

Also, every street should have mile-markers, in increments of 1/16 mile.

Every time I travel to another state that has sales tax, I see signs of that state welcoming itself to my money on every receipt.

I always miss those. Do they come before or after the Zero Tolerance welcome sign?

They're often accompanied by "Safety Corridor" welcome signs. Safety Corridor must be an oddly shaped state, because I seem to enter and exit it frequently.

Can't they frequently be found on the backs (and sometimes the fronts) of every vehicle?

This one is a true answer, but I also think it qualifies for this thread: The lower platform at the Rosslyn Metrorail station.

That is at a state line (less than half a mile away, closer than some on freeways), so bad bad answer.
