State Road 471 is a rural highway in west central Florida joining U.S. 98 in northern Polk County with U.S. 301 at Sumterville. SR 471 provides an alternate route to I-75 from U.S. 301 south of Wildwood for truck traffic headed to Lakeland.

The southern half of the highway traverses areas along Colt Creek State Park, Green Swamp Wilderness Preserve and Withlacoochee State Forest. Through Sumter County, SR 471 connects SR 50 at Tarrytown with the city of Webster, CR 48 at Bevilles Corner and U.S. 301 south of the city of Coleman.
