Florida State Road 539 travels just 2.516 miles along Kathleen Road in the city of Lakeland. The arterial route provides one of four state road connections between Interstate 4 and Downtown Lakeland. County Road 35A extends Kathleen Road northward from the state road end toward Tiffin, Galloway and Kathleen in northwest Polk County.
