Armenia Avenue is an urban arterial between North Hyde Park in Tampa and Carrollwood in unincorporated Hillsborough County. The southern extent of the street forms a one way couplet with Howard Avenue, which originates at Bayshore Boulevard at Historic Hyde Park. The northern portion of Armenia Avenue takes a number of turns to circumvent Lake Carroll to Fletcher Avenue.
The old designation of SR 587A split between two segments of Lake Magdalene Boulevard north of Fletcher Avenue and the Armenia Avenue section. The western branch connected Fletcher Avenue with Bearss Avenue, while the northern branch comprised a loop around Platt Lake north from Bearss Avenue.
