South Carolina Highway 14 stretches 59.24 miles north from the city of Laurens to Landrum in the Upstate. S.C. 14 northwest from Laurens to Gray Court and I-385 at Exit 19 was historically part of U.S. 276. Beyond the 2.72 mile long overlap with the freeway, S.C. 14 continues along old U.S. 276 through the cities of Fountain Inn and Simpsonville.
S.C. 14 shifts northeast from S.C. 417 (NE Main Street) in Simponsville through the eastern suburbs of Greenville between Mauldin and Five Forks. Continuing north along the Greenville / Spartanburg County line, S.C. 14 passes Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) into the city of Greer. Main Street leads the state highway into Downtown, where S.C. 14 meets S.C. 101/290 at Poinsett Street.
Northern reaches of S.C. 14 pass through a mix of rural areas and residential streets to Skyland and Gowensville. Reentering Spartanburg County, S.C. 14 turns northeast to the city of Landrum and concludes at Interstate 26.

Curving northeast into the city of Landrum, S.C. 14 (Rutherford Street) intersects U.S. 176 (Howard Avenue) at Downtown.
