South Carolina Highway 38

Forming a multi state route with NC 38, South Carolina Highway 38 stretches 43.69 miles from northern Marion County near Latta to the state line south of Hamlet in Marlboro County. MSR 38 follows the Future Interstate 73 corridor extending southeast from Rockingham to Myrtle Beach.

S.C. 38 connects U.S. 501 north of Marion with Interstate 95 near Oak Grove in Dillon County. Heading northwest into Marlboro County, the rural highway leads to Bristow and the town of Blenheim. North through the the county seat of Bennettsville, S.C. 38 separates with a business route leading to the city center. S.C. 38 bypasses Bennettsville to the west along S.C. 9 and a portion of U.S. 15/401. Measuring 2.87 miles in length, S.C. 38 Business follows Hamlet Highway north from S.C. 9 Business (Cheraw Street) to a roundabout with S.C. 38 (Oakwood Street). The remainder of S.C. 38 lines Hamlet Highway north across a mix of agricultural and timberland.
