Interstate 4 Florida - East


The advance overhead for SR 585 (Exit 1) along the flyover from I-275 south to I-4 east. SR 585 was decommissioned in 2014 and signs for Exit 1 changed to reflect the cruise terminal at Channelside. 10/16/07

Ramps from I-275 combine a quarter mile ahead of the split-diamond interchange (Exit 1) with 21st and 22nd Streets. The one-way couplet was a part of State Road 585 until the completion of the Selmon Connector further east. 07/06/13

Exit 1 departed for SR 585 (21st and 22nd Streets). This overhead was removed when the new Selmon Connector opened in January 2014. SR 585 was turned over to the city of Tampa after a final repaving by FDOT. 07/06/13

Interests to Port Tampa Bay were originally directed southward on SR 585 to U.S. 41 Business. That changed with the opening of the Selmon Connector and its ramp to S 20th Street (U.S. 41 Business). 11/10/07

Originally a diamond interchange joined Interstate 4 with SR 569 (40th Street S) at Exit 2. This exchange was removed during I-4 widening due to the close proximity of the revised Exit 3 (U.S. 41). 05/27/05

What was the eastbound ramp departure of Exit 2 to SR 569 (40th Street S). SR 569 travels south to SR 60 (Adamo Drive) and north to U.S. 41 (Melburne Boulevard) for a total distance of 1.33 miles. 05/27/05

The split-diamond interchange for U.S. 41 included ramps to Columbus Drive just west of U.S. 41. These were shifted further southwest to coincide with a realignment of Columbus Drive. 05/27/05

An older ground level sign for SR 574, posted one half mile west of Exit 5 for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. 03/18/06

Guide signs on the Exit 7 c/d roadway for U.S. 92 east and U.S. 301 were altered to omit U.S. 92 east. Drivers are now informed of the U.S. 92 off-ramp further east within the interchange complex. 03/18/06
