At California 271, turn right (south) to the Drive Thru Tree and to downtown Leggett. Continue straight ahead to U.S. 101 (Redwood Highway), which serves as the northern terminus of California 1. Photo taken 05/29/06.
After the California 271 intersection, northbound California 1 comes to its end at the junction with U.S. 101. The northern terminus is posted with an end shield. Photo taken 05/29/06.
The end shield is posted on the same post as the U.S. 101 shield assembly. This is the former eastern terminus of California 208, which was decommissioned when the north end of California 1 was rerouted from Fernbridge to Leggett in the 1980s. Photo taken 05/29/06.
