I looked at the construction of the DE 1 and DE 16 interchange through DelDOT's camera at that location and saw in the distance the back on an exit sign that appears to have an exit tab. Any idea what the exit number for the DE 16 interchange will be?

According to Wikipedia, it appears to be Exit 49.
I don't need a GPS.  I AM the GPS! (for family and friends)

The Ghostbuster

Finally, an accurate kilometer-based exit number!

[citation needed]. I want a better source before I add it to the AARW article.

So now DE 1's exit numbers will go from KM-based, to mile-based subtracting from the end of the northern KM-based numbers, to KM-based.  Sheesh.  Just redo them all and make it consistent.

Okay thanks for the confirmation of the exit number! I figured the Wikipedia article was right I just wanted to see a more official source.

The exit numbers are a mess along DE 1. In addition to the inconsistent use of kilometer based and miles offset from kilometer based, you have some unnumbered exits such as in the Milford area.

If you go into the link presented you'll find this 'visor card': https://deldot.gov/public.ejs?command=PublicProjectPortalDocument&iDID=2659400&iProjectObjectID=54653 . Note the lane numberings 1-5 for NB 95, and 6-10 for SB 95. Those numbers are painted on the roadway, at least for lanes 6-10 as I saw the other night.  So unlike how lanes are normally referenced, these numbers go from right lane to right lane across the entire roadway.
