I'm going to keep my close eye on that 49ers-Seahawks game! Since the game is in Seattle, figure the Hawks to take it, but nothing is guaranteed, since surprises are the main attraction at the closing point of the season.
Go Cubs Go! Go Cubs Go! Hey Chicago, what do you say? The Cubs are gonna win today!

NFC South champions the last four years:
2022:  Tampa Bay 8-9
2023:  Tampa Bay 9-8
2024:  Tampa Bay 10-7
2025:  Somebody 8-9

In those years, only one other division champion did it with 9 wins or fewer (Jacksonville 9-8 in 2022), though Baltimore could win at 9-8 this season.

Unfortunately, there is a dispute between Fox and Verizon here in the northeast, leading to a blackout. Thus, those of us interested in the games will need to MacGyver our way in order to watch them.

According to the game book, Seattle had 23 first downs verses the 49ers 9. Seattle's time of possession was 37 minutes and 48 seconds, and exceeded the 49ers in each quarter. Thus, the Seahawks thoroughly dominated the 49ers.

Now, the 49ers need to hope the 3-13 Cardinals beat the Rams to secure the easier fifth seed. I'm not holding my breath.

I think it's already set in stone that the Texans will be playing in the Saturday afternoon spot on wild-card weekend lol.

They'll likely be playing the AFC North champion, so I could see that being the Saturday night game.

The Bills should be tanking this game, but it will be a forced pyrrhic victory because the Jets are so good at tanking themselves that they're down 35 against the Bills backups.

Not even Mitch Trubisky can throw an interception against the Jets.

Well, the weirdest playoff bracket in NFL history is all set, minus confirmation of Trash Mountain 1. The 3 best records in the NFC are on the west coast, and both #6 seeds have better records than the NFC's #2-4 seeds.

7) Chargers defeat 2) Patriots
3) Jaguars defeat 6) Bills
5) Texans defeat 4) Trash Mountain 1
7) Packers defeat 2) Bears
3) Eagles defeat 6) 49ers
5) Rams defeat 4) Trash Mountain 2

1) Broncos defeat 7) Chargers
5) Texans defeat 3) Jaguars
1) Seahawks defeat 7) Packers
5) Rams defeat 3) Eagles

5) Texans defeat 1) Broncos
5) Rams defeat 1) Seahawks

5) Rams defeat 5) Texans

The last-place team in the NFC North, Detroit, had a better season record than the NFC South winner Carolina.

The whole division had winning records.  The Lions need serious help in the secondary.  They kept getting burned on big pass plays the second half of the year.

And the Bears won the division despite going 2-4 within the division. Difference is the Bears went 9-2 outside the division.

With the NFC South falling to the Panthers in the most fitting way possible, the three longest active division title streaks in the league (Chiefs 10, Bills 5, Bucs 4) all ended this season.

At least 6 of 8 divisions have a new champion from last year, and tonight will determine if there will be a 7th. Either the Ravens will earn the longest active streak with 3, or the NFC East will hilariously go from 20 seasons without a repeat champion to the *only* division with a repeat champion.

Falcons have fired HC Raheem Morris and GM Terry Fontenot in the early Black Monday events.

Was at the Panthers vs Bucs game yesterday, Panthers fan sitting in front of me, and I told him no matter what happens during this game, Atlanta is winning on Sunday!! Of course an 8-9 team is representing the NFC South, AND getting a home game. To be fair, I'm not a fan of any teams in this division, I just went cause I got free tickets.

Here were my predictions back in Week 9...

AFC East- Patriots
AFC West- Broncos
AFC North- Ravens
AFC South- Colts

NFC East- Eagles
NFC West- Seahawks
NFC North- Packers
NFC South- Buccaneers

AFC Wildcards- Bills, Chiefs, Chargers
NFC Wildcards- Lions, 49ers, Rams

I went 4/7 on the AFC (got the AFC South & North divisional winner and Chiefs being in the wildcards wrong)

Coaches, and fans, just assume that NFL kickers are automatic inside of 50 yards.  I thought the Ravens should have run another regular offensive play and tried to make it a shorter field goal, rather than having Lamar just move it to the middle of the hash marks and kneel down (and lose a couple yards in the process).  Hell, the other kicker just missed an extra point, which highlighted the risk.

Especially with the game being in Pittsburgh, a stadium that is notorious for giving kickers fits.

And the Ravens still had a timeout, so they could have run any play they wanted there.

You have GOT to be kidding me!

I was just about to type "I guess the Bills weren't the only team to have a missed kick end their season"...  and in a plot twist of cruel irony, that somehow became even more true with that brutal missed kick by the Ravens.
