Don't worry, I haven't done all of my state. I have somewhere about a dozen counties in Mississippi left to clinch.

I've only clinched CT and DE so far. So, it's not odd. With all my traveling across Ohio and Pennsylvania, it surprised me that I've never been to every county in each state. The western states (and Texas) are working themselves out quickly without a lot of side trips to do it, really.

My collection is pretty respectable:

I'm at 1550, just a bit short of half way there.
Per your cmap, you actually have nicked the corner of Waldo County ME.
"Officer, I'm always careful to drive the speed limit no matter where I am and that's what I was doin'." Said "No, you weren't," she said, "Yes, I was." He said, "Madam, I just clocked you at 22 MPH," and she said "That's the speed limit," he said "No ma'am, that's the route numbah!"  - Gary Crocker

ME 8/16

In map form.
Lemme guess - from NH to Acadia National Park via I-95, I-395, and US1A...

Thanks.  Always nice to pick up a county without leaving the house.

I'm up to 2170 now. So, 125 counties in roughly four months.

If I can go across US-36 in Kansas, I'll clinch the state. Utah, western Colorado, and northern New Mexico I plan to visit later this year (along with the Moki Dugway, Million Dollar Highway, etc).

Word of advice when you go US-36 across Kansas- watch the potholes the size of Cadillacs as you cross into Colorado from Kansas on 36- 36 from the Colorado State Line to 385 might be the worst maintained stretch of theoretically important road in the country

Otherwise it's a fun drive- I highly recommend it- it's my favorite way to get across the land between I-70 and I-80

MI - 1: Wayne
NV - 1: Clark
AZ - 3: Mohave, Yavapai, Coconino
FL - 3: Orange, Brevard, Osceola
CA - 18: San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Kern, San Louis Obispo, Kings, Fresno, Monterey, Merced, Santa Cruz, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Alameda.

A grand total of 26!

I've done 32 French Departments (out of ~100) and 56 UK Lieutenancy areas* of the UK (out of 99) - all but 5 of the English ones, all but 2 of the Welsh ones, and a splattering of the Scottish ones (I have 29 left to do there) plus none of the 8 in Northern Ireland.

*Counties are messed up in the UK - different countries have different definitions, and there's several different sets of counties co-existing (administrative, ceremonial, etc). Lieutenancy areas are counties for ceremonial purposes - in England at least!

Sort of. Going up we took 295 instead of 95 (post-2004 definitions), and going back we took ME 3 to Augusta. But otherwise yes.
If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

I'm late to the game, but I've finally established my map:
www.mob-rule.com/cgi-bin/makeuser.cgi?user=nightrunner

A few states have a few counties going on childhood memory - chances are I'm missing a few from that and a few extra as well, but it probably evens out.

Bigmikelakers

My map looks like crap compared to you guys but I'm getting there slowly.

algorerhythms

Tried to log into that website today but couldn't remember my password. Going to have some new counties to add after next week, anyway.

How do you have that one big gaping hole in Maine?
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

I've taken ME 11 down from Fort Kent but didn't stay on it through that one county. Meanwhile, I've also come down US 201 to the west. Counties aren't a priority for me, so the hole might stick around awhile till I get around to clinching 11.

Why does it seem like everyone's map is formatted slightly differently?
