Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) west travels underneath Kyrene Road (Exit 53) three-quarters of a mile ahead of its transition to the South Mountain Freeway at I-10 (Exits 55AB) to downtown Phoenix.

A general use ramp leaves in unison to Interstate 10 one half mile ahead of the HOV departure. HOV lanes continue along I-10 west into downtown.

I-10 east joins Loop 202 with Tucson 98.1 miles to the southeast while I-10 west leads motorists to the northern end of Loop 202 and downtown Phoenix.
