State Road 33 / County Road 33


Measuring 40.21 miles in length, State Road 33 joins Lakeland and Polk City in Polk County with Groveland in Lake County. Following a 2.48 mile long implied overlap with SR 50 west from SR 33, CR 33 branches north the city of Mascotte. The 13.36 mile long county road leads to Okahumpka and U.S. 27 south of Leesburg and Lake Harris.
SR 33 follows Lakeland Hills Boulevard north from U.S. 92 (Memorial Boulevard) near Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. SR 33 continues to I-4 and Socrum Loop Road (CR 582) between Lake Crago and Lake Gibson within the city of Lakeland. SR 33 formerly extended another 0.75 miles south along Massachusetts Avenue to Main Street (unsigned CR 600) in Downtown Lakeland.
Paralleling Interstate 4 through northeast Lakeland, SR 33 serves a number of logistics and distribution centers. Entering Polk City, SR 33 follows Commonweath Avenue to the city center. Curving north, SR 33 transitions into a rural highway across the Green Swamp.
