Continuing through the queue of photos in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, posted page for U.S. 29/74 west from Charlotte to Belmont. Added complete coverage of U.S. 74 west along Independence Boulevard, from I-485 in Matthews to I-277/NC 16 by Uptown Charlotte. Proposed construction along the arterial portion of Independence Boulevard will add a tolled Express Lane in each direction, add general travel lanes, and convert the roadway into a controlled access expressway. Potentially starting in 2024, a separate project will convert the bus lanes along Independence Boulevard from I-277 to west of Idlewild Road into tolled Express Lanes.
