Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

It's a cover, of a song most of us have heard, and might be polarizing. But going off the beaten path is what prog is all about :-)

My first SF/horror short story collection is available: "Young Man, Open Your Winter Eye"

Two songs, each remixed to be the other song:

"Volcano with no fire... Not volcano... Just mountain."
—Mr. Thwomp

I never thought I'd be able to say I'm listening to this song and that I know the title, but here we are. FEX - Subways Of Your Mind, formerly the Most Mysterious Song on the Internet:

"Volcano with no fire... Not volcano... Just mountain."
—Mr. Thwomp

Related to the above: from the same EP, and a song I think is even better than the newly discovered Subways of Your Mind:

"Volcano with no fire... Not volcano... Just mountain."
—Mr. Thwomp

I was just in the car listening to 80s on 8 and they played "Beat It." I had not heard that song in years. Yet I immediately remembered all the words when it started playing.

I suppose 95% of the words are the same thing over and over, though.

"That sounded stupid, didn't it?"
—Kolzig, to the same reporter a few seconds later.

A fun thought experiment is how many songs you know all the lyrics to when it's on, but couldn't recite any of them if asked on the spot.

This weekend, I had the interesting experience where every radio station I listened to played a song I also heard on another at some point.  Don't You Forget About Me played on both Q106.1 and Star 92.9 while Espresso (Sabrina Carpenter) played on Fly92.3 (twice), Mix 93.1, Mix 104.1, and Star 92.9.

I was on a P.M. Dawn kick today.  Still like their version of "Norwegian Wood."

I just played the full Quadrophenia album all the way through. Great stuff, very underrated. My wife was falling asleep on the couch when "The Real Me" came blasting through the speakers. She was Not Amused. I didn't tell her that if she weren't around I'd have had it turned up far louder than I had it. Didn't think she'd react well.

The forum has caused me to have this recording from June 26, 1993, going around in my head for reasons that should be obvious:

Oh, forum related, yes, this one came up last night.  It's one of those beautiful ballads Jerry Garcia wrote (with Robert Hunter) in the last few years of Jerry's life, which the Grateful Dead played quite a bit in their 1990s shows.  Here performed by Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann's side band "Billy and the Kids" with Billy Strings sitting in and singing lead vocals.

Was watching the episode this song's apart of earlier and forgot how much of an earworm it is. Now it's stuck in my head.
It's all fun & games until someone summons Cthulhu and brings about the end of the world.

I also collect traffic lights, road signs, fans, and railroad crossing equipment.
