
SR 19 originates at Groveland in Lake County and concludes at Palatka in Putnam County. The southern leg of SR 19 travels 20.07 miles north from SR 50 in the city of Groveland to U.S. 441 in Tavares via Howey In The Hills and a bridge across Little Lake Harris. SR 19 overlaps with U.S. 441 east 3.27 miles to an interchange with CR 19A at S Bay Street at the city of Eustis.
Heading north to Downtown Eustis, SR 19 follows Bay Street 1.57 miles from U.S. 441/CR 19A to Grove Street, where it partitions into a one way couplet. SR 19 northbound lines Grove Street for 1.56 miles while southbound remains on Bay Street for 1.46 miles. The separate directions converge at CR 452 adjacent to Trout Lake. The remainder of SR 19 in Lake County travels 21.93 miles north to Umatilla, Altoona and Ocala National Forest.
All 17.45 miles of SR 19 in Marion County traverse areas of Ocala National Forest. Part of the Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway, SR 19 parallels the Lake County line north from SR 40 to Lake George before shifting northwest to CR 314 at Salt Springs. Crossing into Putnam County, SR 19 continues north 22.96 miles to U.S. 17 in the city of Palatka.
There are three branches of County Road 19A from SR 19 in Lake County. CR 19A spurs 2.48 miles southwest along Dora Avenue to Lake Dora Drive in Taveras. A separate section of CR 19A extends 1.28 miles south from the exchange joining U.S. 441/SR 19 at Eustis to Old U.S. 441 (CR 500A) at CR 44C in Mt. Dora. The branch of CR 19A through north Eustis runs 1.13 miles south from SR 19 to CR 452.
