A lot of changes and updated content on AARoads since the first of the year. Went through all of the remaining html pages for Pennsylvania in January and converted them into the WordPress format. Several of these pages were not touched since they were originally created in the early 2000s. Also added photos from various trips throughout the state between 2005 and 2012 and most of the photos taken by Andy in western Pennsylvania in June 2010. Will cover February updates in a separate post.
January 2, 2021
- Updated PA 413 in Bucks County with photos from 10/05/14.
- Added photos to PA 63 (Woodhaven Road) in Philadelphia from 12/17/19
January 3-9, 2021
- Marion County Road 484 in Florida – added photos taken 01/02/21.
- PA 60 – updated page and added eight photos from 06/13 and 06/14/10.
- Interstate 376 West – created page with four sections covering the route from Monroeville to Sharon with photos shot in June and September 2010.
- Interstate 376 East – created page with partial coverage of the route from June and September 2010 photos.
- Interstate 579 – revamped old page and replaced coverage in both directions with photos taken 06/13/10.
- Interstate 279 – separated north and southbound photos into tabs and added images from 06/12/10, 06/13/10 and 09/30/10.
- Interstate 79 – split page into six tabs and posted every photo remaining in our queue from 2010 covering the route statewide.
- U.S. 22 East – West Virginia to Allegheny County – created page.
January 10-16, 2021
- Partitioned existing eastbound coverage of U.S. 322 in Pennsylvania into new pages starting with U.S. 322 East – Honey Brook to Chester. Added photos from 12/23/12 along the overlap with U.S. 202 south at West Chester and 12/18/16 in Chester.
- U.S. 322 Business – West Chester – created a separate page for this business route and with research in the AASHTO Database, discovered it dates back to 1957.
- I-76 / Pennsylvania Turnpike East – Breezewood to Harrisburg – added photos shot with Corey Dukes on the way back from the State College Road Meet on 04/30/05. Converted the rest of the old html pages to the new format.
- I-76 / Pennsylvania Turnpike East – Ohio to New Stanton – posted photos from I-376 (Beaver Valley Expressway) southeast to I-376/U.S. 22 at Monroeville (09/30/10).
- Interstate 176 North – added two additional photos from 06/24/12
- Interstate 70 Pennsylvania – converted remaining html pages to the new format.
- Interstate 380 Pennsylvania – added ten photos from 09/01/05 and three photos from 09/27/09. Found documents in the AASHTO database involving the renumbering of I-81E to I-380, which took place in 1972.
- Interstate 180 Pennsylvania – converted page into WordPress and updated with photos covering eastbound 01/18/17 and west from 05/07/05 and 09/01/05. Part of the Susquehanna Beltway, I-180 was established in 1983.
- Interstate 283 Pennsylvania – converted html page to the new format and replaced photos in both directions with ones from 06/24/12. Replacing part of U.S. 230 Bypass, I-283 was one of the original proposed Interstates in the Keystone State.
- Interstate 81 South – Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Maryland – added page with photos from 06/24/12.
- Interstate 81 North – Wilkes-Barre – created page and added photos from 07/01/05 north.
- Added pages for Interstate 81 North – Scranton, Pennsylvania and Interstate 81 North – Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania with photos shot on 07/01/05, 09/26/09 and 01/17/17.
- Interstate 80 East Pennsylvania – created page with photos covering I-80 between I-180 and I-476 from 01/18/17
- Pennsylvania Route 472 – created page and posted 35 photos from 06/27/10 covering south from Quarryville to PA 841 at Lewisville.
- Created pages for PA 52, PA 261, PA 452, PA 491 in Delaware County.
- Pennsylvania Route 3 – created page with photos covering eastbound from PA 320 into Philadelphia from 12/23/17.
- Created pages for U.S. 20, PA 99, PA 290 and PA 505 in Erie County.
January 17-23 2021
- U.S. 13 Pennsylvania – converted page from html and split coverage into tabs. Added photos from 07/27/07, 10/05/14, 12/18/16, 12/19/17, 12/27/18. AASHTO approved a relocation of U.S. 13 in Chester and the establishment of U.S. 13 Business along the current alignment in November 2020. Historically, U.S. 13 extended north to the New Jersey state line alongside U.S. 1 until 1964.
- Interstate 81 South – Harrisburg, Pennsylvania – added photos from 10/01/05 and 06/21/12.
- U.S. 30 West – Chester County, Pennsylvania – replaced 09/18/04 photos with ones shot on 12/19/17.
- Interstate 78 Pennsylvania – converted east and westbound pages into the WordPress format and added photos from 09/01/05, 10/01/05, 08/04/07 and 09/27/09. Was going to try to drive a part of I-78 in December, but ran out of time.
- Interstate 476 Pennsylvania – converted remaining html page and split southbound coverage into two pages. Photos added along the PA Turnpike Northeastern Extension from 05/11/05, 07/04/05, 12/19/16 and along the Mid-County Expressway (Blue Route) from 09/27/09 12/23/12, 12/19/16 and 12/20/17.
- U.S. 22/322 West – Harrisburg to Lewiston, Pennsylvania – created page with photos shot on 04/30/05 and 06/21/12.
- U.S. 322 West – Chester to West Chester, Pennsylvania – created page with photos taken in Chester on 12/21/16 and along Conchester Highway in Delaware County on 12/29/08.
- Pennsylvania Route 283 – replaced html pages with WordPress pages. Updated eastbound coverage with photos from 06/21/12 and westbound from 06/24/12. Construction at the west end of PA 283 in 2020 replaced the loop ramp to I-76 with a signalized intersection.
- Started work on converting the html pages for U.S. 1 with new pages covering northbound and southbound through Bucks County from a daytrip on 12/19/17.
- U.S. 322 Business – State College – created page for the route established in 1985.
- Created page for Pennsylvania Route 26 from the State College Road Meet in 2005.
- U.S. 1 North – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – finally got around to posting photos from 08/30/05 covering Roosevelt Boulevard and merged the existing content with newer photos from 12/27/16 and 12/19/17.
- Created pages for U.S. 1 North and South through Chester / Delaware Counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania from the original html and added photos from 12/20/17.
- Pennsylvania Route 132 – added page with photos shot on 09/26/09, 12/19/17 and 12/17/18. Ongoing cnstruction at U.S. 1 converts the full cloverleaf into a folded diamond interchange.
January 24-30, 2021
- U.S. 1 South – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – completed the conversion of old html pages for U.S. 1 with coverage of Roosevelt Boulevard/Expressway.
- Interstate 95 South – Delaware County, Pennsylvania – converted html into the WordPress format and updated with photos taken 12/21/16, 01/14/17, 12/20/17 and 01/01/19.
- Replaced html pages for Interstate 95 North and South in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with updated photos showing the completed I-95/PA Turnpike Interchange near Bristol.
- Created pages for Interstate 90 in Pennsylvania and Interstate 295 in Pennsylvania.
- Created pages for PA 158, PA 208, PA 320, PA 926, PA 940 and PA 956.
- Added a page for U.S. 19 in Pennsylvania with photos from June and September 2010.
- Interstate 95 South – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – converted html and updated south from I-676 with photos from 12/21/16, 12/27/16 and 01/01/19. Major reconstruction of I-95 is ongoing in Philadelphia
- Interstate 80 West – Pennsylvania – mostly from 09/01/05, posted photos covering the freeway from Delaware Water Gap to Ohio.
- Interstate 99 Pennsylvania – split north and southbound pages into two per direction. Added photos from Bedford north to State College from 06/08/12.
- Added a page for U.S. 220 in Pennsylvania with photos north from Maryland to Bedford from 06/08/12 and Williamsport from 05/07/05.
- Historic U.S. 40 – California – converted html into the new format.
