Forming part of a multi state route with SR 52 north from Wilmington, Delaware, PA 52 extends 11.4 miles from the state line to West Chester. PA 52 initially heads north through Pennsbury township to Fairville and Mendenhall in Kennett township. A 0.35 mile overlap with U.S. 1 shifts the route west onto Lenape Road north. PA 52 follows Lenape Road through Pocopson township to Lenape and onto Bradford Street along the West Chester borough line. PA 52 turns east along Price Street to conclude at U.S. 322 Business (High Street).
