The Guide to Delaware State Route 11

Delaware 11 constitutes a short state route in rural western Kent County between the Maryland state line and Delaware 300. The highway links Maryland 302 near Templesville with the villages of Hartly (pop. 78) and Kenton (pop. 237). Delaware 11 came into existance with the rest of the west Kent County highways of Delaware 6, 42, 44, and 300 by 1938.

Southern Terminus
1.1 miles east of Templeville, Maryland where Maryland 454 (Crown Stone Road) ends at Maryland 302 (Barclay Road) is the northbound beginning of Delaware 11. Delaware 11 continues the trajectory of Maryland 302 eastward via Arthursville Road 2.6 miles to junction Delaware 44 (Main Street) within the incorporated village of Hartly. Photo taken 04/13/04.
Northern Terminus
Delaware 300 (Sudlersville Road) eastbound approaching the northern terminus of Delaware 11 (Arthursville Road). Delaware 11 links Sudlersville Road with Hartly and Templesville, Maryland to the southwest. A rather non-descript intersection composes the north end of Delaware 11 (Arthursville Road). The north-south road ends at Delaware 300 with just a stop sign. 0.8 miles east of here is junction Delaware 42 (Blackiston Road & Seven Hickories Road) and Kenton. Photo taken 04/13/04.
The southbound beginning of Delaware 11 as Arthursville Road leaves Delaware 300 (Sudlersville Road). A mileage sign posted in the background reads Hartly - 4 and Templesville - 8. Delaware 11 north
Delaware 11 (Arthursville Road) intersects Gunter Road 0.3 miles east of the Maryland state line. The north-south road stems from Delaware 11 to Delaware 8 (Halltown Road) and the village of Marydel. A northbound reassurance shield is posted along Arthursville Road northbound after Gunter Road. Photo taken 04/13/04.
Hourglass Road travels southward from Delaware 11 to Delaware 8 (Halltown Road) near Bethesda. Butterpat Road continues northward from the same intersection to Maryland 300 east of Sudlersville.
