One of several multi state routes between northern Delaware and northeastern Maryland, SR 300 ventures nearly 12 miles northeast from Everetts Corner to Kenton, Clayton and Smyrna. MD 300 continues the route west to Sudlersville and a J-turn intersection with U.S. 301 beyond Dudley Corners.

SR 300 was added to the state route system by 1936. The northern 1.10 miles of the state route overlaps with SR 6 along Glenwood Avenue to bypass Downtown Smyrna. SR 6 turns south along U.S. 13 (Dupont Boulevard) as MSR 300 ends.

SR 6/300 (Glenwood Avenue) commence a 1.10 mile overlap west from U.S. 13 (Dupont Boulevard) as a three lane boulevard by the Smyrna Mart retail center. 06/17/12
