Farrington Highway

Farrington Highway parallels Interstate H1 east from Kapolei east to Pearl City. Generally serving local traffic, Farrington Highway connects the planned community of Kapolei with Waipahu and Pearl City. The road is discontinuous at the Kapolei Interchange, where the entrance ramp connecting Wakea Street with I-H1 eastbound displaced a portion of the highway.

The remainder of Farrington Highway varies between state and county maintenance. Unsigned Route 9107 follows Farrington Highway northeast 4.04 miles from the former alignment intersecting Kamokila Boulevard in Kapolei to Old Fort Weaver Road (Route 7147) near Honouliuli. The ensuing stretch 0.60 miles east to SR 76 (Fort Weaver Road) is inventoried as Route 7110, and state maintained for 0.24 miles leading into the parclo interchange with Fort Weaver Road.

Farrington Highway expands to a four lane, divided highway east from the exchange with SR 76 (Fort Weaver Road) as State Route 7101. Extending 3.00 miles east through Waipahu, Farrington Highway parallels the Skyline light rail line to the trumpet interchange with Route 99 (Kamehameha Highway). Route 99 overtakes the remainder of Farrington Highway east across I-H1 to the continuation of Kamehameha Highway through Pearl City.

Farrington Highway - East

Heading east from Route 95 (Kalaeloa Boulevard) and the exchange with I-H1, Farrington Highway (Route 9107) advances toward the Kapolei Interchange with the Queen Liliuokalani Freeway. Construction added ramps with an extension of Wakea Street. Phase 1 of this work was scheduled for completion in October 2011.1 Phase 2 followed from mid 2016 to March 2020.2 01/17/11

The Kapolei Interchange project permanently closed Farrington Highway between Wakea Street and Kamokila Boulevard. Farrington Highway (Route 9107) overtakes Kamokila Boulevard eastward to Fort Barrette Road near I-H1. 01/17/11

Farrington Highway - East

Farrington Highway (Route 9107) extends east from Kamokila Boulevard to Fort Barrette Road (Route 901). Route 901 follows Fort Barrette Road 1.22 miles south to Enterprise Avenue at F.D. Roosevelt Road and Makakilo Drive 0.163 miles north to I-H1 at Makakilo City. 01/17/11

The adjacent Makakilo Interchange joins Makakilo Drive with Interstate H1 east to Pearl City and Honolulu. 01/17/11

Farrington Highway (Route 9107) continues northeast from Fort Barrette Road toward Waipahu, becoming Route 7110 at Old Fort Weaver Road (Route 7147). 01/17/11

Farrington Highway - East

Route 7101 comes to a conclusion as Route 99 overtakes Farrington Highway across Interstate H1 to Kamehameha Highway into Pearl City. 02/07/24

Farrington Highway - West

Route 7101 (Farrington Highway) advances from industrial west Waipahu to a parclo interchange with Route 76 (Fort Weaver Road). Route 76 north becomes Route 750 (Kunia Road) in 0.61 miles at the exchange (Exit 5) with Interstate H1. 01/18/11

Route 76 (Fort Weaver Road) transitions into Route 750 (Kunia Road) north to Village Park, Schofield Barracks and Wahiawa. Route 76 formerly extended along all of Route 750. 01/18/11

Route 7101 ends where Route 7110 overtakes Farrington Highway west from Fort Weaver Road. Route 7110 lines Farrington Highway 0.60 miles west to Old Fort Weaver Road, where Route 9107 takes over en route to Kapolei. 01/18/11

Farrington Highway - West

Route 7110 (Farrington Highway) west at the southbound entrance ramp for Route 76 (Fort Weaver Road) to 'Ewa Beach and Ewa Beach Park. 01/18/11

Since replaced, a remnant shield for Route 76 references the old alignment of the state route along Old Fort Weaver Road. The expressway along Route 76 to the east bypassed Old Fort Weaver Road in 1980. 01/18/11

Old Fort Weaver Road meanders west from Route 76 (Fort Weaver Road) around the West Loch Golf Course to Farrington Highway (Route 7110). 01/18/11

The state route maintained portion of Farrington Highway (Route 7110) concludes beyond the first intersection with Old Fort Weaver Road at Honouliuli. 01/18/11

Entering the planned community of Kapolei, Farrington Highway meets SR 8930 (Kualakai Parkway), an arterial constructed in 2010 that links Interstate H1 at Exit 3 with Kapolei Parkway. Areas surrounding this traffic light were slated for mixed-use development. 01/18/11
