As traffic merges onto Interstate 495 west from Round Swamp Road, drivers in the HOV lane see an egress point for Exits 46 (Sunnyside Boulevard) to 43A (Robbins Lane). Nassau County sees less frequent movements between the HOV lane and freeway mainline than Suffolk County provided. 06/13/05

The Seaford–Oyster Bay Expressway was initially opened in June 1962 between Exits 10 (Old Country Road) and 14 (NY 25), between Exits 4 (Southern State Parkway) and 10 in 1963 and Merrick Road and Exit 4 by late 1969. The freeway was designated as NY 135 by 1964.1< 06/13/05

Exit 41N utilizes the adjacent frontage road for NY 106 & 107 (Broadway) north. NY 106 follows Jericho Oyster Bay Road north from NY 25 through Muttontown and East Norwich to an end at Bay Avenue in Oyster Bay. 06/13/05
NY 107 follows Cedar Swamp Road northwest from Jericho through Brookville and Old Brookville to its end at Pulaski Street in Glen Cove. 06/13/05
The HOV lane ended within the cloverleaf interchange at NY 106 & 107 until June 30, 2005, when the lane was extended west to Exit 32.2 06/13/05
Westbound at the Exit 41S onto Broadway south. NY 106 & 107 conclude their 2.43 mile overlap by Broadway Mall in Hicksville. NY 107 remains along Broadway southward toward Plainedge and its end at Massapequa while NY 106 travels Newbridge Road to East Meadow and North Bellmore. 06/13/05

North Service Road provides access from Exit 36 to Shelter Rock Road, which leads north to North Hills and south to Herricks. The north-south road sees an interchange with adjacent Northern Parkway (Exit 27). 06/13/05

Community Drive stems north from the L.I.E. frontage road system to North Shore University Hospital, Thomaston and East Shore Road north to Great Neck. 06/13/05
Lakeville Road parallels Community Drive north to Thomaston. South from the frontage road and Exit 33, the road joins I-495 with North New Hyde Park. 06/13/05
The first Queens exit of Interstate 495 west is next in 0.75 miles with Little Neck Parkway (Exit 32). The restricted HOV lane ends at this point. 06/13/05
Little Neck Parkway leads north from NY 25 (Jericho Turnpike) at the Floral Park neighborhood to meet the Long Island Expressway at a diamond interchange (Exit 32). 06/13/05

Exit 32 parts ways with Interstate 495 west for the Little Neck community of Queens. Douglaston Parkway parallels Cross Island Parkway south to Union Turnpike while northward from I-495, the street heads to Northern Boulevard and the Douglaston community. 06/13/05
Interstate 495 formally enters Queens County and New York City just after the ramp departure of Exit 32. A directional cloverleaf interchange follows with Cross Island Parkway, which connects I-495 with the Whitestone Bridge (Interstate 678) north to the Bronx and south as part of the Belt Parkway system to John F.
