Delaware 1D

Delaware 1D forms a suburban loop southeast from Delaware 23 (Beaver Dam Road) and Belltown to Midway by way of Plantation Road and Delaware 24 (John J. Williams Highway).1 The state route was commissioned in the early 1990s to provide an alternate to Delaware 1.

SR 1A and SR 1B are located to the southeast at Rehoboth Beach. There is no SR 1C, though the designation may be reserved for a future route.1 SR 1D formerly overlapped with SR 24 Alternate along Plantation Road. Signs for SR 24 Alt were still posted along Plantation Road as of January 2017.
