Completed on November 8, 2013, a $17.4 million construction project upgraded the diamond interchange at Exit 399 into a SPUI.¹ Sign changes made for the project removed Business Spur I-90, a local designation coinciding with SD 115 south to Business Loop I-229 in Downtown.

Cliff Avenue provides a number of traveler services southward from Exit 399 to industrial areas at Benson Road. Connecting Sioux Falls with Renner and Dell Rapids, SD 115 north begins at 72nd Street N. SD 115 was created in 1980 when U.S. 77 was realigned onto I-29. A 2001 relocation deviated the route from the original U.S. 77 along North Drive onto Minnesota Avenue and Benson Road through the city.²
