NH 28 (Broadway) angles northwest from Methuen, Massachusetts to intersect Rockingham Park Boulevard by Rockingham Park, a former horse race track. The commercialized route continues north to Canobie Lake and Windham. 06/27/05
A diamond interchange (Exit 2) lies one mile north of Rockingham Park Boulevard with Pelham Road on I-93 north. Pelham Road east becomes Main Street through Salem to the west end of NH 97 at NH 28 (Broadway). 06/27/05
Major reconstruction, the Rebuilding i93 project, was undertaken from the Massachusetts state line to Exit 5 at Londonberry along I-93. 19.8 miles of freeway was expanded from four to eight overall lanes, with accommodations made for potential light rail within the corridor. Initial work commenced in 2006 with total completion north to Exit 5 expected by fall of 2016. 06/27/05
Pelham Road winds west from Exit 2 through a business park area to the town of Pelham. NH 97 (Main Street) runs 2.56 miles east from Broadway to Methuen, Massachusetts. MA 97 extends the route southeast another 25 miles to Beverly.
Stile Road and Policy Street both lead south from near Exit 2 to NH 38 (Lowell Road). 06/27/05
Interstate 93 swings northwest between Canobie Lake and Cobbetts Pond over the next two miles. 06/27/05
The Windham town center lies four miles north via the next exit. Manchester, New Hampshire's largest city, is reached in 21 miles. 06/27/05
The roadways of I-93 originally separated with a wide forested median to a folded diamond interchange (Exit 3) with NH 111 (Indian Rock Road). Construction as part of the Rebuilding i93 project involved building a new northbound roadway adjacent to the southbound lanes from Canobie Lake to Exit 3. The new northbound lanes were built between June 2009 and April 2012. 06/27/05
I-93 north originally spanned NH 111A (Range Road) just ahead of the off-ramp (Exit 3) for NH 111 (Indian Rock Road). NH 111 ventures west from I-93 and Windham to Nashua and Hudson. The state route follows Salem Road east to NH 28 (Rockingham Road) and North Salem. 06/27/05
Northbound travelers along I-93 reach the town of Derry in seven miles and Manchester in 18 miles. 06/27/05

NH 102 goes for nearly 23 miles from Hudson northeast to Raymond. Forthcoming Exit 4 was originally a parclo interchange with two loop ramps on the west side of I-93. The southbound loop ramp was replaced to eliminate weaving traffic concerns. 06/27/05
Now within the town of Londonberry, Exit 4 departs Interstate 93 north for NH 102 (Nashua Road). Broadway carries the state route east into the Derry town center, where NH 102 intersects NH 28 (Birth Street / Crystal Avenue). 06/27/05
North Londonberry lies four miles ahead followed by Manchester in 12 miles. 06/27/05
NH 28 (Rockingham Road) leaves Derry to run alongside I-93 to a diamond interchange (Exit 5) with I-93 at Wilson. 06/27/05
Exit 5 leaves I-93 north for NH 28 (Rockingham Road). The state route winds west to North Londonberry and north from there to the east side of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and the commercialized south side of Manchester. 06/27/05
Entering Hillsborough County, Interstate 93 approaches the three-wye interchange with Interstate 293 north & NH 101 west. The unnumbered exit lies 18.4 miles north of the state line. 06/27/05
A two lane left side ramp departs in one mile for Interstate 293, an 11 mile urban loop serving Downtown Manchester from Interstate 93 to the east. NH 101 overlaps with the freeway west to Bedford as part of a nearly 95 mile route between Keene and Hampton Beach. 06/27/05
Interstate 293 north to the F.E. Everett Turnpike south leads travelers to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT). The Interstate combines with the turnpike north otherwise along the Merrimack River to Hooksett and I-93. 06/27/05

A left side on-ramp brings traffic from NH 101 east onto Interstate 93 north ahead of Exit 6 with Candia Road and Hanover Street in east Manchester. 10/06/14
Interstate 93 north expands to five overall lanes to the split diamond interchange (Exit 6) with Candia Road and Hanover Street. NH 101 splits with I-93 beyond Hanover Street at a tri-level stack interchange (Exit 7). 10/06/14

Candia Road stems east from NH 28A (Mammoth Road) as a residential through street to Exit 6. Hanover Street branches west from the road to East Side Plaza shopping center and the Manchester street grid to Downtown. 10/06/14
NH 101 departs next for Massabesic Lake, Exeter and Hampton. The state route used to end in Portsmouth, but was realigned over NH 51 when the freeway east to the Seacoast was completed. 10/06/14
The Hanover Street on-ramp defaults onto NH 101 as it leads away from I-93 north. The freeway meets I-95 (Blue Star Turnpike) in 31 miles and U.S. 1 at Hampton in 33 miles. 10/06/14
Interstate 93 North
Interstate 93 turns northwest from NH 101 and quickly encounters a folded diamond interchange (Exit 8) with Wellington Road and Bridge Street. 10/06/14
Wellington Road extends west from the Auburn town line by Bald Hill to become Bridge Street ahead of parallel NH 28A (Mammoth Road). 10/06/14

Exit 8 leaves I-93 north. Bridge Street heads west through the East End neighborhood of Manchester to Downtown and the West Side areas. NH 28A remains parallel to the freeway north through South Hooksett. 10/06/14

NH 28A exists in two segments. The southern portion follows Mammoth Road through Manchester as part of a 7.6 mile alignment between Londonberry and Hooksett. 07/30/07

Interstate 93 F.E. Everett Turnpike North
Interstate 93 carries eight overall lanes along the tolled section of the F.E. Everett Turnpike between Manchester and Concord. The Hooksett Main Toll Plaza lies 1.5 miles ahead. 10/06/14
An I-89 trailblazer accompanies I-93 north, necessitating a green sign in place of stand alone shields per New Hampshire DOT signing standards of two or more routes. 10/06/14
Arrow-per-lane (APL) signs precede the Hooksett Main Toll Plaza along Interstate 93 north. The signs outline the open road toll (ORT) configuration completed in May 2013. 10/06/14
A trumpet interchange (Exit 11) encompasses the Hooksett Main Toll Plaza area with an access road linking Interstate 93 with Hackett Hill Road. Hackett Hill Road winds down to adjacent NH 3A (West River Road) along the Merrimack River. 10/06/14
E-ZPass motorists bypass the Hooksett Main Toll Plaza with two high speed lanes to the left. All other motorists must use one of three lanes to the conventional toll booths to the right. The toll plaza opened on August 30, 1957. 10/06/14

Interstate 89 commences a 191 mile route north to the Canadian border at Highgate Springs, Vermont from Interstate 93 (Everett Turnpike) in Bow. The freeway winds northwest to Lebanon and White River Junction (I-91), Montpelier and Burlington in Vermont. 10/06/14
Jerry and Rattlesnake Hills rise to the north as Interstate 93 (F.E. Everett Turnpike) drops toward the Merrimack River and half cloverleaf interchange with Interstate 89 north. 10/06/14
Interstate 89 reaches the Lake Sunapee Region midway between Concord and Lebanon. Dartmouth College, a prestigious Ivy League school, lies north of Lebanon via NH 120 and Exit 18 in Hanover. 07/30/07
Grandview Road spans Interstate 93 north at the off-ramp for I-89 north to Lebanon and Vermont. The I-89 freeway begins at adjacent NH 3A nearby. 10/06/14
