Interstate 95 (Delaware Expressway) parallels the AMTRAK Northeast Corridor south through the Holmesburg community to Exit 30 for PA 73 along Cottman Avenue and State Road via Wissinoming Street. 12/20/22
PA 73 is a part of a multi state highway with New Jersey Route 73 across the Tacony Palmyra Bridge. 12/20/22
PA 73 runs alongside the Delaware Expressway on State Road and New State Road west to the foot of the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge at Levick Street. 12/20/22
PA 73 lines Cottman Avenue northwest to Mayfair, Castor Gardens and Rhawnhurst in Philadelphia en route to Jenkintown. Rhawn Street (SR 1014) parallels to the east through Pennypack Park. 12/20/22
Continuing southwest, Interstate 95 advances to the Wissinoming and Bridgesburg neighborhoods. 12/20/22
Exit 27 links I-95 southbound with James Street at Bridge Street (SR 1009). 12/20/22

Curving southward alongside Aramingo Avenue (SR 2009), I-95 converges with the west end of the Betsy Ross Bridge (New Jersey Route 90) at Exit 26. 12/20/22
Constructed between 1969 and 1976, the Betsy Ross Bridge (Route 90) is an eight lane span connecting Philadelphia and Maple Shade, New Jersey. 12/20/22
A two lane c/d roadway (Exit 26) separates from I-95 south ahead of the systems interchange with Route 90 (Betsy Ross Bridge) and ramps (SR 1026) with Aramingo Avenue. 12/20/22
Incomplete flyovers at Exit 26 were repurposed in 2001 as ramps (SR 1026) joining I-95 with adjacent Aramingo Avenue (SR 2009) to the Port Richmond and Frankford neighborhoods. 12/20/22
The multi level interchange with the Betsy Ross Bridge was designed to accommodate the Pulaski Expressway (PA 90), an unconstructed route north to U.S. 1 (Roosevelt Boulevard). 12/20/22
Proceeding through the exchange at Exit 26, Interstate 95 crosses Frankford Creek. 12/20/22
Project BR2 replaced four ramp structures at the exchange with the Betsy Ross Bridge and Aramingo Avenue. Costing $93.6 million, work started in 2020 and finishes in 2023.1 12/20/22

I-95 converges with the south end of Aramingo Avenue (SR 2005) at Girard Avenue (SR 2008) and Delaware Avenue (SR 2001) in the Olde Richmond neighborhood. 12/20/22
Interstate 95 crosses Lehigh Avenue at the Olde Richmond neighborhood 0.3 miles ahead of Exit 23. 12/20/22
Girard Avenue (SR 2008) branches west from the Delaware Expressway to Fishtown, North Philadelphia East and Fairmount. 12/20/22
GIR Project construction starting in 2009 demolished and rebuilt both viaducts along I-95 between Palmer and Ann Streets. Work through 2022 (Section GR4) along I-95 south reconstructed the ramps at Girard Avenue and expanded the roadway four lanes with an auxiliary lane.2 12/20/22
The $39.3 million Project GR2 reconstructed and widened 1,200 feet of Interstate 95 from Palmer Street southwest to Frankford Avenue. Work ran from October 2012 to 2016.2 12/20/22
Curving southward through the Northern Liberties neighborhood, I-95 next meets Interstate 676 and the Vine Street Expressway. 12/20/22
I-676/U.S. 30 connect with PA 611 (Broad Street) south to City Hall and the Philadelphia Convention Center. Callowhill Street parallels the Vine Street Expressway ramps from I-95 to N 6th Street south to Independence Hall. 12/20/22
I-676/U.S. 30 (Vine Street Expressway) run along the north side of Center City Philadelphia from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge west to I-76 (Schuylkill Expressway). 12/20/22
The Vine Street Expressway was completed east to I-95 (Delaware Expressway) in 1991. 12/20/22
Two lanes leave I-95 south at the directional T interchange (Exit 22) for I-676/U.S. 30 west and Callowhill Street at N 2nd Street. 12/20/22
Interstate 676 is discontinuous between the Ben Franklin Bridge and Vine Street Expressway. An at-grade section at Franklin Square links the two between N 8th and 6th Streets. 12/20/22
I-676/U.S. 30 cross the Ben Franklin Bridge into Camden, New Jersey. Callowhill Street west to N 6th Street links I-95 south with the suspension bridge. 12/20/22

Located a half mile ahead of Left Exit 20, I-95 Park at Chestnut Street is the first of two lids covering the Delaware Expressway between Society Hill and Penns Landing. 12/20/22
Expected to start in 2023, Sector B of the 95Revive project expands the structure at Chestnut Street to cover both I-95 and Columbus Boulevard south to Walnut Street.3 12/20/22
The Walnut Street pedestrian bridge spans I-95 east of Independence National Historical Park. 12/20/22
The wye interchange (Left Exit 20) for Columbus Boulevard (SR 2001) lies south of the tunnel below Dock Street, Spruce Street and the Philadelphia Vietnam Veterans Memorial. 12/20/22
The South Street Pedestrian Walkway spans the Delaware Expressway at Exit 20. The ramps here were originally proposed to link with the east end of the canceled South Street Expressway. 12/20/22
The entrance ramp from Front and Market Streets expands southbound Interstate 95 to four lanes. 12/20/22
The succeeding exit is for Interstate 76 east across the Walt Whitman Bridge and Packer Avenue west. 12/20/22
The Walt Whitman Bridge crosses the Delaware River between South Philadelphia and Gloucester City, New Jersey. Accommodating seven overall lanes, the suspension bridge opened to traffic in 1957. 12/20/22
A loop ramp at Exit 19 ties into Front Street between Oregon Avenue (SR 2001) and Packer Avenue west of the Packer Avenue Marine Terminal. 12/20/22
Interstate 76 travels five miles southeast from Exit 19 to I-295 and New Jersey Route 42 at Bellmawr. Route 42 extends the North South Freeway from I-76 to the Atlantic City Expressway at Turnersville. 12/20/22
The Walt Whitman Bridge is toll free eastbound to Gloucester City and Camden, New Jersey. 12/20/22
There is no direct access from I-95 south to Interstate 76 west along the Schuylkill Expressway. A Breezewood style connection links the two via Packer Avenue west to PA 611 (Broad Street) north. 12/27/16

The Philadelphia Naval Business Center lies south of the Delaware Expressway from Broad Street. The center was a U.S. Navy facility until September 30, 1995. Broad Street north runs along the west side of the sports complex where venues for the Philadelphia Eagles, Flyers, Phillies and Sixers are located. 12/20/22

PA 611 lines Broad Street north to Old York Road near the north Philadelphia city line. The state route replaced PA 291 south of City Hall and U.S. 611 north to Easton and Mount Pocono. 12/20/22
Home of the 2017 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field rises along the north side of Interstate 95 between Darien and S 11th Streets. 12/20/22
The Wells Fargo Center, home of the NBA Philadelphia 76ers and NFL Philadelphia Fliers, lies just west of 11th Street and Lincoln Financial Field. 12/20/22
Exit 17 lowers to PA 611 (Broad Street) by Wells Fargo Center and Franklin D. Roosevelt Park. 12/20/22
PA 611 (Broad Street) leads north into the heart of Center City Philadelphia. 12/20/22

PA 291 (Pennrose Avenue) parallels I-95 by the Point Breeze Refinery South Yard across the George C. Platt Memorial Bridge over the Schuylkill River. 12/20/22
Enterprise Avenue stems west from Exit 15 to Island Avenue north along the east side of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). 12/20/22
A second southbound reassurance marker precedes Exit 1 ahead of Marcus Hook Creek. 12/20/22
The last confirming marker for Interstate 95 south in Pennsylvania was posted west of the Blueball Avenue (SR 3011) overpass by 2022. 12/20/22
