Exit 17 leaves Interstate 405 north for 116th Avenue NE south of NE 70th Street. A cloverleaf interchange follows in 0.75 miles with NE 85th Street (former SR 908). 08/29/06
Collector distributor roadways separate for Exit 18 to NE 85th Street. NE 85th Street was a part of SR 908 between Exit 18 and SR 202 and the Redmond city center until June 2010.1 08/29/06

Interstate 405 lowers into the Sammamish River Valley and enters a cloverstack interchange (Exit 23) with the freeway along SR 522. SR 522 constitutes a 24.68 route east to U.S. 2 at Monroe and west to I-5 at Exit 171 in Seattle. 08/29/06
The freeway along SR 522 extends five miles east from Exit 23 in the city of Bothell through Woodinville to SR 524 at Maltby. Connections with U.S. 2 lead to Stevens Pass across the Cascade Mountains to Wenatchee. 08/29/06

SR 527 meanders northward from Bothell to a six-ramp parclo interchange (Exit 26) with Interstate 405 north of the Snohomish County line. 08/29/06
Traveling 9.29 miles, SR 527 runs north from Exit 26 to Trashers Corner, Mill Creek, and I-5/SR 526 at Exit 189 in Everett. The state route south 2.63 miles along Bothell Everett Highway to the Bothell city center was turned over to local control by 2016. 08/29/06
Posted at the 9th Avenue SE underpass, the penultimate confirming marker for Interstate 405 northbound was removed by 2016. 08/29/06
I-405 angles northwest to I-5/SR 525 between the census designated places of Alderwood Manor and Martha Lake. Passing over Damson Road, the tolled express lane ends as the left two lanes eventually default onto the freeway spur along SR 525 toward Mukilteo. 08/29/06
Northbound Interstate 405 expands to four lanes ahead of the unnumbered exit for I-5 north to Everett, Bellingham, and Vancouver, British Columbia. 08/29/06
