Forming a west bypass of Bartonville, Airport Road (CR R49) extends 4.79 miles south from Interstate 474 to Tuscarora Road. Tuscarora Road links with U.S. 24, 0.69 miles to the east at Tuscarora. 12/21/23

I-474 rises onto a ridge ahead of the third crossing of Kickapoo Creek and the directional cloverleaf interchange (Exits 0 A/B) with Interstate 74. 12/21/23
Left Exit 0 B departs with two lanes for through traffic continuing to Galesburg and the Quad Cities. Interstate 474 west otherwise defaults onto IL 6, a freeway extending 10.10 miles north to IL 29 at Mossville, south of Chillicothe. 12/21/23
The exchange joining I-474/IL 6 with I-74 was previously unnumbered. Interstate 74 leaves Peoria west from Exit 0 and continues 4.3 miles to Exit 82 for Kickapoo. Overall I-74 northwest to the 2 miles leading to Moline in the Quad Cities is rural except through Galesburg. 12/21/23
Two lanes continues north along I-474 from Left Exit 0 B to Exit 0 A for I-74 east into Peoria and IL 6 north to Chillicothe. IL 6 opened initially between the end of I-474 and U.S. 150 at the same time I-474 was completed. 12/21/23
Exit 0 A parts ways for Interstate 74 east across Peoria. IL 6 encircles the north side of Peoria to Robinson Park. 12/21/23
