Midway between Easton Drive and Forrest Street (SR 1974), U.S. 1 enters the city limits of Rockingham. 05/30/07
U.S. 220 branches north from U.S. 1 at a wye interchange with Hancock Street. 05/30/07
U.S. 220 follows a short expressway north from U.S. 1 to Midway Road (SR 1124) and U.S. 74 Business (Broad Avenue) west of Downtown Rockingham. 05/30/07
Northbound U.S. 1 and U.S. 220 part ways. U.S. 220 travels 678 miles northward to Waverly, New York; the two routes never meet again. 05/30/07
