On the west side of Napoleon, U.S. 24 approaches Exit 39 with U.S. 6 west (Woodlawn Avenue). U.S. 6 runs for 3,205 miles from Bishop, California to Provincetown, Massachusetts. In Ohio, the highway runs for 259 miles through Napoleon, Bowling Green, Fremont, Sandusky, Lorain and Cleveland. 01/18/13
A quarter mile now from Exit 39 with U.S. 6 west (Woodlawn Avenue). U.S. 6 will run concurrent with U.S. 24 for the bypass around the north side of Napoleon. Interestingly, the control city for U.S. 6 west is Kendallville, Indiana, some 60 miles west of Napoleon. 01/18/13
Exit 39 turns off of U.S. 24 east for U.S. 6 west (Woodlawn Avenue). U.S. 6 heads west toward Ridgeville Corners and Edgarton en route to Kendallville and Chicago, Illinois. Woodlawn Avenue leads east from the interchange into Downtown Napoleon. Compared with signage from April 28, 2010 Chicago has been added as a control city for U.S. 6 west while Maumee replaces the much larger Toledo as the control city for U.S. 24 east. 04/28/10, 01/18/13

SR 108 runs for 49 miles from the Michigan state line near Morenci, Michigan south through Wauseon and Napoleon to SR 15 near Miller City. Business U.S. 6 follows the highway south through Napoleon toward U.S. 6 to the southeast of town. 01/18/13

U.S. 24 East
Beyond the exchange with U.S. 6 east, U.S. 24 continues onto the stretch opened on August 29, 2012. This four lane freeway replaced an older two lane roadway from Napoleon east along the Maumee River to Waterville that was prone to accidents. 01/18/13
Unlike the stretch of U.S. 24 from the Ohio state line to Napoleon, this stretch of U.S. 24 is entirely up to freeway standards. The first interchange east of Napoleon is at Exit 47 with SR 109. 01/18/13

The Fallen Timbers Battlefield and Monument can be reached via Exit 67. The site is home to the decisive battle between the American forces under the command of General Wayne and Native American forces. The battle ended with an American victory, ceding Ohio to the white settlers. 01/18/13
Lucas County Highway 53 (old U.S. 24) joins the new U.S. 24 freeway as we are within a half mile of Exit 67 for Fallen Timbers Lane. The right lane becomes an auxiliary lane for Exit 67. 01/18/13
