Wholly within the city of Virginia Beach, Virginia Route 149 arcs 7.36 miles northeast from SR 165 at the intersection with N Landing Road and Princess Anne Road to the east end of U.S. 60 at Rudee Inlet. SR 149 extends Princess Anne Road east from SR 165 at the community of Princess Anne to General Booth Boulevard near Woodhouse Corner. General Booth Boulevard comprises a four lane parkway northeast to U.S. 60 near the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

SR 165 (North Landing Road) north at SR 149 (Princess Ann Road). SR 149 concludes in Princess Ann by the Virginia Beach Government Complex. North Landing Road extends along SR 149 to Nimmo and General Booth Boulevard. 04/13/01
Princess Ann Road north at SR 615 and General Booth Boulevard. Princess Ann Road (former SR 615) continues southward to the North Carolina state line, where it becomes N.C. 615 (Marsh Causeway) en route to Knotts Island. SR 149 ends just ahead of General Booth Boulevard, 1.92 miles north of SR 165 (North Landing Road). Referenced here, SR 615 and 629 were decommissioned.1 04/13/01
